Wish I had something amazing for the last entry into this year-long project.

Let me just say this has been interesting.  Not since college have I had a deadline to create anything so that was a challenge, but neither have I been able to communicate and share work with other artists.  I’m really glad I was introduced and invited to join this project.  Thank you for your time.

I finished this closer to the Week 52 mark then the 51 but I will have something else this week. :B

The hair.  THE HAAAAAIR…

Can’t remember if I shared any of this earlier but I’m working on an art nouveau piece with Maori themes/symbols in mind.  This is pretty far from done.

It may seem familiar and yes I did go over the old body model, but I upgraded my armor in the game so it only felt right to upgrade the image. :B Fus Ro Dah?

Week 46 – Rachael Peabody

I’m going to attempt to do an “art nouveau” piece involving fish and some other junk.  Wish me luck.  Here is a practice shot I took while I was at the laundromat.  Inks.

Grabbed some swatches from Tumblr and made some art with them.  “ART”

I’ve been playing a new game with one of my friends.  I’d also been trying to practice with my new tablet.  Here is the meeting of those two.  His name is Sak.  He has a haunted shadow.

I saw that a few of the weeks weren’t open yet so I haven’t been submitting.  It also means that I’ve kind of lost track of which art piece came first.  So here is this.  I’ve gotten into playing Skyrim and I love it.  Here is a sketch I did in Illustrator of my character Argonaut.  There is also an accurate depiction of Lydia.

Okay so Minecraft is an artistic medium just as much as anything else. I swear.  I’ve spent several hours/days building a castle made out of sandstone and finally got this underground room to have daylight and an aquarium.  Since I consider this a labor of love and design, I am calling this ART!  Good times.

Week 41- Rachael Peabody

One of my readers/friends asked me to draw them the offspring of two characters and wanted it to look like a red and black betta.  I took some liberties but I think it came out all right.  :: shrug ::  CLOSE ENOUGH

Been practicing with my tablet some more.  As part of my practice I’ve been going back and forth with one of my online friends and we’ve been doing “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic” versions of “Homestuck” characters.  If you are unfamiliar with either one or both of those fandoms, that’s fine.  I am having fun, 🙂

Week 39 – Rachael Peabody

I know the whole “making your readers ask a fictional character questions” thing is a little old but I just jumped onto the idea and already got a lot of questions for this one character.  Also it’s Christmas!  Merry Christmas!

Well it’s not the best art I’ve ever done, but I got a digital drawing tablet last weekend and finally got some time to try it out.  Drew my new bettas for the record.

Week 37 – Rachael Peabody

A couple weeks old.  Phew!  Sorry, I’ve been making a tree skirt, designing a Christmas postcard, applying for a new job and a hundred other things.  I also just got a new drawing tablet and am trying to get used to it.  This piece is NOT digital but the dying marker made an interesting shading tool.  Hopefully I can get back on track!

Missed last week.  Need to find something to post for then.  Been busy.  Actually I was painting manatees.  So here is my apology face.
