Week 34- Heather Ouellette-Cygan

Picasso’s Mistress Swims in Paint

She looks young,

Sad. I imagine the room

A library.

She rests her arms

Over a book and mourns.

She is blue, after all.

She wears a bracelet.

How does he

Create this colour?

The blue in contrast,

Directly, with yellow;

Its compliment

Sky to sun

Sadness to sunshine

Cowardice to wishes

Cradle your head

Young, ponytailed

Girl and weep.

Sometimes that is

All there is

To be done.
